QUOTE from the Artist Statement:

“Broken branches, living plants, preserved animal carcasses, discarded or pre-owned consumer goods, repair patches on subway seats, and my body in the movement are my materials of choice to visualize my research about the balance of forces. Those objects become part of paintings, drawings, photography, video, text or performances, and I combine them into installations.”

– Veronika Dräxler
TEASER from the CV:

Staying aligned while being violently distracted

Veronika Dräxler is an interdisciplinary artist, performer and writer based in Berlin and Fürstenfeldbruck. Her bi-cultural background - she is German and Ecuadorian - inspire her poetic stories about finding strategies to staying aligned in an environment of opposing world-views and truths, power struggles within a heritage of colonialism and appropriation, and permanent distractions of the attention economy.
